Who We Are
PixCrunch ("we", "us", "our") is an image compression service available at pixcrunch.net and as a Windows desktop application sold via Gumroad.
Image Data
Your images are never uploaded to our servers. All compression on the web app happens entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. No image data, metadata, filenames, or any other file content is transmitted to PixCrunch or any third party as part of the compression process.
The Windows desktop app processes images entirely on your local machine with no internet connection required.
Information We Collect
When you use pixcrunch.net, we may collect:
- Analytics data — page views, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and general location (country level). This is anonymised and used only to improve the service. No personally identifiable information is included.
- Usage data — the free-tier daily image counter is stored in your browser's
localStorageonly. It never leaves your device. - Billing information — Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never handle raw card details. Gumroad handles all desktop app purchases.
We do not collect: your name, email address (unless you contact us directly), IP address beyond aggregate analytics, or any image files or their contents.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies: session cookies required for Pro account authentication, and analytics cookies if you have not opted out. We do not use advertising cookies. Third-party services (AdSense, Stripe) may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.
Google AdSense
The free tier of pixcrunch.net displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to display relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. Pro subscribers see no ads.

Data Retention
We retain aggregate analytics data for up to 24 months. Billing records are retained as required by law. You can request deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing [email protected].

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PixCrunch after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
